This month Bruno invites renowned author and professor of geography at Tulane University, Richard Campanella and Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and Times-Picayune Outdoors Editor, Bob Marshall, to look at the decisions that lead to the development of New Orleans and the many reasons for why the city continues to thrive. The Nation has agreed to make an investment in New Orleans protection. The Army Corps of Engineers is constructing the largest public works project in their history to do just that. But when Category Five tours the progress, they learn that it these floodwalls are still not considered strong enough. The city and region need to implement other measures to protect residents from flooding. Bruno sits down with John Lopez of the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation to learn about the Multiple Lines of Defense Strategy.
